Can somebody guide me on how i can connect the apple superdrive to a windows 10 laptop. Which software/version is required to be downloaded in to the windows PC. Preferably if you can give me the link for it. The Boot camp support software says about installing windows in to Mac.

what happens when you try ?
because with optical drives like usb sticks the driver is generic as in one driver to rule them all so the superdrive should be using the same driver as any other usb optical drive you could buy and connect to your windows laptop
i got this information from the apple forum as they stated this is the latest of the lot
just install bootcamp5.1.5769\BootCamp\Drivers\Apple\AppleODDInstaller64 and all works 🙂
when i tried the same it says (in my Windows PC), this is not the intended version to run for that PC.
That is a Lenovo Laptop with Windows 10 and an year old.
BC 5.x drivers do not work with W10. You need BC 6.x drivers. AppleODDInstaller64.exe is the correct driver, but you have the incorrect version.
You can use Brigadier (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier) to download the 6.x drivers using the appropriate "-m" qualifier. Use any Mac model after 2015 to get BC6.x drivers.
