How to transfer large files from computer to external disk?

I use Clean my Mac and have some large files on my computer. How do I transfer the files to an external disk to free up more space?

Thanks,

Bob

You can do this through Finder.

Plug in your external Disk.

Open Two Finder windows (Open one then press Cmd+n to open another)

Drag the files from your hard disk to your external location. The default action for that is to COPY the file, you If you hold the Command Key while doing this, it will move the file.
