or you could do a Google search on "replace iPod battery" for a local or on line repair place that will replace the battery for less. You can even find a replacement battery (same search) for about $10 and replace it yourself if you're up to it.

2. Connect your iPod to your PC's USB port. Click on the picture of the iPod just under the menu. Then under Backups > Manually back up and Restore, Click on Back Up now. When you get your replacement iPod, click on Restore Backup. That's it.
