Why does my phone take forever to send a video to another iPhone?

When I send a video to another iPhone it takes forever to send or it fails. When I send it to an Android it sends it immediately. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi Chris. Thank you for responding. Did that already several times and it didn't help so when it finally came back as "not delivered", I used the "send as a text message" option and it worked. Just frustrating ☹ Again, thanks for trying. Have a great day!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that when trying to send videos via iMessage, the message will either take longer than expected or fail. I can see how this could be concerning as you're able to send videos to Android users without issue. I'm happy to help.

First, restart your iPhone. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, see if the issue occurs on cellular data and Wi-Fi networks. Take a look at the look below for additional steps:
If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the behavior continues, tell us if this occurs with multiple contacts and on multiple networks. Please include any other troubleshooting steps you may have tried.
