Twitter Home - Could not authenticate you

MacBook Pro

OS version 10.13.3

I have not been able to use Twitter and it's Home window says, "Could not authenticate you" and the Developer drop down menu says, "Bad authentication data. Verify tokens". Twitter works on my iPad and iPod Touch. Why did it stop working on my MacBook Pro?

Twitter broken but just on MAC Working one day and not the next. When I try to open twitter on my mac I get the message 'could not authenticate you'. No problem on iPad or iPhone and a Twitter add-on to Lightroom on my mac also still works.I thought of deleting and reinstalling but having read elsewhere on an apple forum deleting can be an issue also (as in not fully deleting therefore unable to reinstall as the mac thinks it is already there!)thanks in advanceMartyn

Replacing @applesupport after leaving twitter I’ve been a big user of @applesupport on Twitter. I could just post about my issue and would get a reply, often including a separate DM thread, to work it out. It was fast but not real-time, much more efficient than sitting on hold for telephone support. But Twitter is a mess right now. I can’t sign on from any of my three existing accounts, can’t fix it (eg reset passwords, etc) and the thing I miss most if this support service. Does Apple offer anything like it elsewhere?

Is it possible to access the password and email address for an Apple Sign-in? So I want to deactivate my Twitter account, but I used Apple sign-in to create the account... so no password... is it possible to retrieve this password? ..is there a password to retrieve..? I need my email address (also created by Apple Sign-in) to even access the area in Twitter where I can change my password.. does anyone know where I can access the email address created for this sign-in?

Just realized the Mac app is no longer supported by Twitter. Deleted the app...

This is not an Apple/Mac issue - Twitter has ceased support.

Phew! I've been going crazy for days. Do you know if they still support iOS, like on my iPad and iPod Touch?
