error: 71

I've been trying and trying to install a piece of scientific software (highly specialized and not available through the App Store). It comes as a zip file, but also has a second package of device drivers that need to be installed separately as well. I've download them to my desktop or download folder an open the installer. I keep coming up with the following error that I've listed below.

I'm now running macOS Sierra (10.12.6). The equipment is fine the developers software was running fine on everything up to MacOS 10.10, without any issues. But now, the drivers aren't loading, so the computer cannot see the USB interface and I keep getting a series of AppTranslocation errors!!! Any suggestions?

thanks!

Jerry
