Lost All My Outlook 2016 Mac Emails, How to Recover Them?

I don't know how but all the emails in my Outlook 2016 Mac are missing. I launched Outlook 2016 for Mac and everything was blank. I looked for solutions online and tried to rebuild the identity thing in order to restore the database but it keeps quitting in between and nothing happens. I dug a little deeper and the only thing I can see is this huge list of files with .olk15message extension. Is there any way I can get back my emails. Please let me know.

This is unusual. Outlook generally doesn't quit rebuilding the identity. If you are using IMAP and your emails are still on the online web mail client then here's a way you can get your emails back in Outlook 2016 Mac:

1. Uninstall Outlook Mac

2. Delete all the files related to outlook.

3. Reinstall Outlook mac and login again.

4. Outlook will start downloading the email files again.

Let me know if this works.

Now this OLK thing is new to me as well. I tried looking up on search engine and here's what I found: OLK15message files
