I keep hearing how loud and great sounding the HomePod is. Mine sounds great, but is not very loud. I think my Google Home is louder.

Thank you for reply. It’s the same for both. I work in the oilfield and live in a fifth wheel trailer. It’s hard to hear audio books playing over Airplay from phone with A/C on. Music played directly isn’t much better. Doesn’t seem right. Guess I’ll have to go to an Apple Store. ***. Nearest is over 4 hours away.
Mine is very loud. Is it the same volume when you play music directly from the HomePod as when you Airplay? If they are both low make a Genius Bar appointment.
