Keyboard not "discoverable"

I just took out my new iMac after not using it for a couple of months and when I set it up, it is not "discovering" the keyboard. When I first set it up it was working very well.

Hello nyroze,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iMac is not recognizing the wireless keyboard. If you have a wired keyboard available, you can try to boot the computer, remove it from the System Preferences, and re-add it again. There are a couple things you can try that may be able to help. I would recommend you read these articles and use them to help troubleshoot the issue.

Remove a Bluetooth device from your Mac

If you want to remove (unpair) a Bluetooth device from your Mac's device list, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth.
  2. Hover the pointer over the device you want to remove, then click the button User uploaded file that appears next to the device's name.

After you remove a Bluetooth device, you'll have to repeat the pairing process if you want to use it again.

Using a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, or trackpad with your Mac
