Billing method decline/ unable to update apps

When ever I try to update my apps or download free apps i keep getting a message that pops up saying my payment method was declined. Update billing info etc. it’s beem the same debit card info for a while and has always worked. I haven’t edited it in anyway and now all of a sudden it’s being “declined.”
