I get a Verification Code on my MacBook Air that I need to enter into my iPhone 4 to proceed with its set up using my Apple ID but no field appears on my iPhone 4 where I can enter the Verification Code even after I press the "Allow" button on my MacBook Air and the "Next" button on my iPhone 4.

On your iPhone 4 try entering the verification code after your password. For example if your password is myiphone and the verification code is 567123 then in the password field enter myiphone567123.
