HomePod having issues with Homekit

I’m having an issue using HomePod to control Phillips Hue lights through HomeKit.

Usually it works as expected. However, every few days I’ll speak a command and instead of executing it, Siri responds “Some of your devices are not responding.” This happens even when all devices are responding, and when this happens it is still possible to control the devices using the Home app OR by speaking commands to Siri on my iPhone. The problem is distinct to the HomePod.

There is a reliable fix: power cycling the HomePod. But the problem the recurs with no obvious triggering event.
