Windows 10 Performance iMac Pro

Hi,

The performance if my iMac Pro in BC has been somewhat disappointing and has several symptoms that I would like to discuss.

1. Unreliable boot. I sometimes have to try twice, sometimes mouse or keyboard do not work once booted. Different hanging points.

2. When I play Fallout 4 the game sometimes freezes then continues, choppy flow. FPS on certain sequences falls very low.

3. As I play games the audio progressively distorts. By restarting game I can clear distortion but it comes back. This happens in any game. Distortion gets heavy so I exit game before I damage components.

The system seems to work reliably once it boots successfully except per #2 and #3 above.

I have reset my graphics to lower settings. I have played in window mode so I can monitor resources. Neither the GPU nor the CPU is challenged at all (seemingly). I have disabled Windows audio.

I play games infrequently so it is not a vital problem to solve but if anybody has any advice it would be great since it is sometimes fun to blow off steam in the wasteland before bed.

Oh anybody know how to reverse scroll in Magic Mouse in Windows 10? It would be nice if it operated the same way on both systems.

Thank you.

The BC Vega GPU driver is suspect and it does take a while to get the drivers working optimally. If Gaming is not the primary role for BC on this Mac, then you should be fine. Apple/AMD need to supply a better driver or wait for bootcampdrivers.com to provide a better one.

Try the method described in windows 7 - Inverting direction of mouse scroll wheel - Super User and test.

Thanks most of my problems have been solved. Bootcamp drivers.com is a great resource.

I have provided a separate wired keyboard and mouse for using bootcamp due to the unreliability of the Apple keyboard and mouse drivers. I assume these will be improved in the future.

The only remaining problem is that the audio degrades over time. When I close and re-start the game it works fine until it degrades again. I am only guessing that this is not a function of the AMD GPU. Maybe I delete the audio driver and try to use a Windows generic driver? Any thoughts?
