Finder Search Network Drive

HI

Trying to search a network drive. Search results appear but all the files found appear to be aliases and OS can't find the original file and offers to fix or delete alias. If I try 'fix alias' i get error code 8060.

However if I go direct to the network drive in the finder, I can double click and open files.

Any ideas what is happening in the Finder search?

Thanks

Mac Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

I would try rebuilding the spotlight index, just instead of using the home folder the way the article talks about, use your network drive. A restart should be performed afterwards as well.
