Phishing Scam

Has anyone received an email from Apple stating the following: Re: (Fraud Payment Report) Apple Payment Information with Other Device. It further says there was an error on your purchase on the iTunes store. Supposedly two ITunes gift cards were purchased. It requires you to reset your Apple ID by providing a photo copy of your driver’s license, a photo (front & back) of your payment card on file and your SSN.

This email came to me yesterday and unfortunately I fell for it only to find out afterwards it was a scam. Anyone else?

If possible drag out the original message to the desktop and attach it a new message so Apple can see the original headers which aren't included if you simply forward it. Send to reportphishing@apple.com .

I will do so but the. Intent of the email has been lost. I put it in my APPLE folder and when I put it back in my InBox, the content is missing (ugh). The header remains so I will send that. Thank you!

There have been a number of variations on it, asking for various personal details including card, SSN numbers, DoB, etc. You've forwarded the email to Apple ?

Various phishing emails are regularly posted on here. If you entered your account's password you've since changed it, and if you entered your card details you've got the card cancelled and replaced ?

I have changed my Apple ID password to a very strong one and I have cancelled the payment card on file. Is this a known scam or new?

I have not forwarded the actual email, but I did report it to Apple. Is that the same or should I forward the email? If so, to what address at Apple? Thank you!
