Youtube Side Bar Scrolling in Safari

I have been experiencing a problem where I cannot scroll up and down on the subscriptions sidebar of Youtube when using Safari. When I attempt to scroll down to view the rest of the stuff in the sidebar, the main screen scrolls instead.It works fine in Chrome, and I have already tried reinstalling macOS, and it did not help the problem. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 2.2ghz 512 ssd

Hi,

Open the App Store then select Updates from the menu. See if there's a Safari update available to download and install. That might help.

Otherwise, the problem might be due to Safari extensions and third party plug-ins.

It's a "bug" by YouTube that is there since March 27th. I guess everyone has this unless you use Chrome.

Hopefully they fix it soon!

Thanks for the suggestions. There were no updates available, and I turned off all 3rd party plugins and extensions, and the problem still persists. This is very strange because it always used to work fine. Maybe it’s something on YouTubes end? But surely other people would have the same problem if that were the case...

Okay thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, neither a new admin account nor safe mode solved the issue. Should I still run EtreCheck?

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode.
