Youtube Side Bar Scrolling in Safari

I have been experiencing a problem where I cannot scroll up and down on the subscriptions sidebar of Youtube when using Safari. When I attempt to scroll down to view the rest of the stuff in the sidebar, the main screen scrolls instead. It works fine in Chrome, and I have already tried reinstalling macOS, and it did not help the problem. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3), 2.2ghz 512 ssd

Hi,

Open the App Store then select Updates from the menu. See if there's a Safari update available to download and install. That might help.

Otherwise, the problem might be due to Safari extensions and third party plug-ins.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Also try the Safe Mode.

Safe Mode - About El Capitan
also Sierra

Safe Mode Startup – El Capitan. also Sierra

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.
