Magic Mouse not connecting to MacBook Pro High Sierra

My 1st gen Magic Mouse will not connect to MacBook Pro 2017 with Touchpad. Not showing up as discoverable. Running High Sierra. Same issue with the wireless keyboard.

Magic Mouse doesn't work on iMac I have an Apple Magic Mouse, wireless, fully loaded. It works with my MacBook Air, but not with my iMac (it did before). Turning on and off WiFi doesn't help. Rebooting neither. Any ideas?

Magic Mouse Just got a MacBook Pro and magic mouse and completed migration. Problem is that I can't get the mouse to pair with the MacBook. Mouse battery is charged. So far have opened system preferences, clicked on Bluetooth, selected system administrator's mouse and clicked on 'connect'. I get the rotating wheel and nothing else.

Magic Mouse 2 - Slow to Connect at Startup A question similar to this has been asked before, but without a resolution. My Magic Mouse sitting 18 inches away from my MacBook Pro, with nothing else in between interfering with the signal, and bluetooth turned on, with me clicking buttons on the keyboard and clicking on the mouse, it takes a minute or two for the mouse to get connected. A regular bluetooth mouse connects faster. Does anyone know if there is a setting that needs to be fixed or should I return the Magic Mouse and get a $10 logitech mouse? Thanks.

Change the batteries. OS X Yosemite- Pair an Apple wireless keyboard, mouse, or trackpad with your Mac.
