"Failed to Enable Personal Hotspot on iPhone X" Error

Ive got the latest MacBook retina 12" with up to date high sierra running. I frequently use the personal hotspot from my iPhone X but its always when I first try to connect I get the above error prompt and then it works the 2nd or 3rd time. This is getting annoying does anyone know how to fix it?
