Backtick symbol still missing in iOS

You're right. I don't use it very often. If you hold the apostrophe, you get the pop up with four options and the backtick is on the left. I'll post another screenshot with some text with the backtick inserted.

On the 123 level, try holding down the apostrophe key and choosing the leftmost item from the popup menu.

There’s no backtick ` there, just comma and apostrophe.

I'm pretty sure this has existed for some time. On your Keyboard, tap 123 , then the #+= button above that and voila, the backtick key is on the bottom row, right hand side.

Chances are there are other things you don't know exist on your phone. That's why they have a free iOS11 User Guide in iBooks for you to download.

But can you do that in a Password field? That's what he is talking about. Try it and let us know.

Yes, of course you can and I just tried it in a password field for a website. The point is the backtick symbol has been available, I believe since iOS 4.1 (around that time), so the OP just clearly didn't know where to find it.

Doing it the way you suggest, just takes me to the #+= page, so pretty much the same thing.

Also to add, when I typed my first response, I was using someone's older iPhone as my X was updating to iOS 11.3 at that time. On my X, the backtick key is on the 123 page directly on my phone.
