Backtick symbol still missing in iOS

It's 2018 and I'm wondering why I still can't obtain the backtick symbol (`) from the symbol list in my iPhone's virtual keyboard while running iOS 11.3. Clearly I can get to it from the address line of a new Mail email, but if I try to copy the symbol and add it to a "Note" to form a complex password for pasting into another app, I can't even do that as it appears with (insert favorite icon here) as a hideous 22-byte character attachment. Apple clearly washed its hands of this symbol with the blood of a slaughtered lion. The problem here is simply one-fold: With the rise of complex password managers generating evermore complex passwords (Keepass), archaic symbols such as the backslash have gained more and more popularity from the symbolic deathly hallows it once inhabited, leading me to my final predicament. I'm unable to type a complex password using a trivial backtick because there's no way to retrieve that symbol from the virtual keyboard.

You're right. I don't use it very often. If you hold the apostrophe, you get the pop up with four options and the backtick is on the left. I'll post another screenshot with some text with the backtick inserted.

I'm pretty sure this has existed for some time. On your Keyboard, tap 123 , then the #+= button above that and voila, the backtick key is on the bottom row, right hand side.

Chances are there are other things you don't know exist on your phone. That's why they have a free iOS11 User Guide in iBooks for you to download.

Doing it the way you suggest, just takes me to the #+= page, so pretty much the same thing.

Also to add, when I typed my first response, I was using someone's older iPhone as my X was updating to iOS 11.3 at that time. On my X, the backtick key is on the 123 page directly on my phone.
