Use Apple Gift Card for iCloud Storage

This has to be very frustrating to Apple users!

Apple is selling Gift Cards that say "For apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, books, and iCloud"

However there is nowhere I can find instruction on how to use the Gift Card value for iCloud!!!?!?!?

Please clarify how one goes about using Gift Card value for iCloud!
