How to reduce Macbook 12 inch heat and lag!?

So I've had this laptop for around 5 months. Tbh, it's been average. Screen is amazing, it's light, portable and looks sleek. There are many good things about this Mac but one of my biggest areas of concern is the CPU throttling (lag) and the intense heat it emits. Whenever I try a slight CPU intensive task such as mild gaming (lowest graphics ftw I guess...) and 3D software it lags a lot and gives out heat which hurts my legs.

I know this is because of the stupid fanless design but is there any way I can reduce heat? I want to be able to get the full potential of the specs offered on this model (2017 macbook, i5 1.3ghz, 8gb ram)

I do very mild gaming, nothing with amazing graphics, just standard games.

Gaming on the MacBook can be done but it is very dependant on how the game is coded and what resources it depends on . I have many games that although would seem to be easily played on it run terrible and heat up the system a lot . I have others that look great and it is barely warm . Examples are Flat-out 2 , Top Speed , Highway Rally , Unstoppable Gorge all make it barely warm while Garfieldkart , Train Sim , CSR Racing , eCity , and others make it very warm and laggy . The system wasn't designed for games by any means , Macs in general weren't designed for gaming in general with the exception of a few . A cooling pad will help a lot as the system is cooled by the ambient air under the laptop . There isn't enough clearance inside to put a heatsink or heat pipe and fan . Asus did make one with similar cpu and profile with a fan and it doesn't do much better even though it is a windows laptop . The nature of the cpu design is low wattage , a step up from the Celeron or pentium devision but below the core i3, i5 lines ( yes the MacBook comes with a core i5 and i7 but they are just rebranded core M5 and M7 from previous years from Intel ) .
