I have a headless MacMini that control by my MacBookPro. Yesterday I updated both machines to 10.13.4.
Now, when screen sharing, frequently the pointer disappears on the shared screen, particularly when some window is in full screen mode on the Mini.
The only solution is to quit screen sharing and start sharing again. Then the pointer appears again.
That's a very unpleasant situation. Anybody with a similar problem and a fix?

Since updating to 10.13.4 screen sharing has ceased working at all for me, either native OSX or Screens, both of which used to work flawlessly before the upgrade!!!

Same here with the screen sharing problems - most of the time the two machines won't connect but when they do the mouse pointer doesn't respond.
I have the same setup as yourself using mine for a Plex media server.
Hope they fix this quickly!
I had an issue connecting to my headless 2009 Mac Mini running El Capitan and when I checked the Mini, there was a Remote Desktop update waiting to be installed. Once I installed that, everything worked again.
I have a similar problem, but no fix.
I have a Retina MacBook and I use screen sharing a lot to a 2011 MBP. Since the upgrade to 10.13.4 on the MacBook, sreen sharing is not really usable. When scaling is off I can only see part of the remote screen and have to scroll around. With scaling on the mouse pointed does not move and the remote screen does not respond at all to mouse movements or clicks. Upgrading the MBP to 10.13.4 did not help.
I also have access to a MacBook Air running 10.13.4 and screen sharing works fine there.
I wonder if my 2014 MacBook Pro is now obsolete? Same issue for me -- screen sharing does not work at all after the 10.13.4 update. I hope this isn't another log out/in of iCloud to "correct" the issue.

Same kind of issue:
Between two r-Macbook pro 2015, screen sharing is working as expected (I don't use ARD).
Between MBP 2011 and MBP 2015, I get only the sound without the video.
