Failing to boot OS X after latest Software Update
Hello,
I seem to be having trouble with this latest update. After completing the installation and restarting, my MacBook Pro (2017 13") boots into the Log File Viewer, IIRC claiming the update failed; I recovered the system (twice now, retrying the update yielded the same results) by booting with Command + R and recovering from a time machine backup -- presumably the one made by the App Store, since I haven't made them manually and the timestamp shows it was made just before the installation of the update.
I am guessing this update file is corrupt somehow, and miraculously made it past the checksums it was supposed to be put through..
So far in attempt to force the re-download of the update, I have removed the 'com.apple.appstore' folder from '$TMPDIR../C/', although that doesn't seem to be forcing the App Store to download a fresh update from the Apple Server. I've also come across information stating there is a debug menu in the App Store that can be enabled, but I cannot seem to enable it myself -- the only reason I desire to enable the menu is because it has an option to open the App Store's 'Downloads' folder.
The question here is, unless there is a way to fix the failure of this installation, how can I force the re-download of this update, in order to install it without crashing my system?
