cannot login to podcast connect

cannot login to podcast connect

Hello, maybe this is something I'm missing, but I'm getting really fed up here.

Every time I try to login to podcast connect, it takes me to the screen where I select what content I'd like to work with (I select podcasts, as that is what I'm doing). It then takes me back to the login screen for an endless loop of two pages.

I've tried Firefox and Chrome in case it was the browser. It wasn't.

So, what am I missing? I've validated the account, I've logged into an Apple device (which, I shouldn't HAVE to but that's a rant for another day), and I'm still stuck in this endless login loop.

I just want to test and upload my podcast. This is definitely not a user friendly system, Apple.

Thanks! I have figured it out though.

Turns out, you MUST login to the iTunes store to connect your account before logging in, otherwise you will be stuck in the login loop.

Once that is done, it will login as normal. 🙂

There have been a number of similar complaints. Try making sure you are signed in in the iTunes Store before going to http://podcastsconnect.apple.com - some people have found that when they sign in it should go to the page for content providers very briefly before redirecting to Podcasts Connect, but the redirect doesn't happen. If you can't get it to work, report it to Podcasts Support. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.
