What I or even other member will suggest use malware bytes or remove it manually , if you want the Mac to be perfect erase the hard drive and reinstall the os , it will delete all old files , any software , unwanted apps , and all type of junks installed .You will have all system files as new , just as a new Mac .
These are the only ways to remove pop ups and whatever the mackeeper .
Hello arthurfromnorwalk,
The only guaranteed way to prevent those popup ads is to avoid the websites where they appear.
Unfortunately none of these suggestions work, nor does installing malwarebytes. Apple really needs to get serious about this ultra-annoying Mackeeper - like sue them or something. Come on guys, this has been going on for too long.
THIS DOESN'T WORK. I NEVER INSTALLED THE APP; IT JUST KEEPS COMING BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN. MOREOVER, AS I'M TRYING TO READ YOUR EMAIL, IT KEEPS POPPING UP MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVEN COMPLETE READING YOUR MESSAGE. THERE HAS GO TO BE A BETTER WAY.
You gotta be kidding??? if Mackeeper some how got in to my system in the first place without my ever having installed it, by what logic will reinstalling the os lead to the elimination of the popup ads for Mackeeper. There's got to be a better way. Anyone got any suggestions? I know I'm not the only one experiencing this annoying problem.
F.Y.I. Tried malwarebytes. Didn't work. at all.
The better ways is erase the hard drive and reinstall the os .
