I have a super drive that I am trying to connect to my pc. The pc detects it but a blank disk will not load. Do I need the driver for the super drive to get this to work?

Download Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621 to the Windows PC. This is a ZIP file. Open it, and look under Bootcamp -> Drivers -> Apple for AppleODDInstaller64.exe .
If you are using 32-bit Windows, use Boot Camp Support Software 4.0.4033 and look for AppleODDInstaller.exe

If you have access to a Mac, you need to download the BC 5.x driver package from Apple's website and extract AppleODDInstaller and install it on the PC. If you do not have a Mac, see Install Windows 7 on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support and extract the correct driver.
How to I get the driver package onto my PC? If I go to the Apple store, can I save it to a flash drive to then extract it to my PC?
