Batch Convert Sorenson Video

I'm looking for suggestions on the best/easiest way to convert some old QuickTime videos. They're about 12 years old and used the Sorenson codec (I'm not sure about the audio). There are over 500 of these videos, so I'd like to automate the process. I have an old version of QuickTime Player that can do the conversion, but I don't know anything about AppleScript or if it's even doable. Any suggestions?

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

I was looking at Automator, and its library has an action for encoding video, but it has no options (data rate, quality, audio), and the converted videos are pretty low quality.
