I updated iOS and iMac‘s latest updates. Now my keychain passwords do not work. I can see them when I check app & website passwords. They will not populate onto the website.

If iCloud Keychain is on, but Safari won't save or autofill account or credit card information
If Safari doesn't autofill your account names, passwords, or credit cards, or doesn't ask to save them to begin with, check the AutoFill and Private Browsing settings on your device.
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 9 or later:
- Tap Settings > Safari > AutoFill.
- For account names and passwords, check that Names and Passwords is on. For credit card information,* check that Credit Cards is turned on.
- Open Safari. If the navigation bar in Safari is black or dark instead of white or light gray, turn off Private Browsing. Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on.
On Mac with OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later:
- Choose Safari > Preferences, then click AutoFill.
- For account names and passwords, check that you selected "User names and passwords." For credit card information,* check that you selected "Credit cards."
- See if Private Browsing is turned on in Yosemite or Mavericks. Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on.

Thank you for this, ive been so frustrated trying to figure out why it's no longer working.
As a help to others, I've now added the "Autofill" button to the toolbar. Clicking that will autofill login info.
The idea that not autofilling a login box without clicking first is protecting me is NONSENSE

try the Safe Mode.
Safe Mode - About El Capitan
also Sierra
Safe Mode Startup – El Capitan. also Sierra
If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Thanks for replying. All those things were already in place. On March 29th I updated MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and lOS 11.3.
The passwords are still in apps and website passwords. However, they do not populate the websites I visit and ask each time for the password. Even it I check save password for each site it does not save it. BUT it does tell me if I entered the wrong password for the website! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks but that’s not it.
You are welcome. They won't offer an entry if you click in the box?
No.
Strange though because if I fill it in incorrectly, it does notify me it is the incorrect password based on what is stored. Bizarre.
