Under Devices in Finder my Macintosh HD shows multiple times. I close the extra listings but they reappear. Today 4 Macintosh HD show under Devices. How can I stop this from happening?

If it happens again you may want to renew the Finder preferences file. In your Home folder / Library / Preferences, look for com.apple.finder.plist and move it to the desktop and restart the computer. You can trash the file if all goes well.
Take a look at Finder / Preferences / Sidebar / to see if you can uncheck something that will reduce the number.
Thanks! In that drop down most items had a check mark but Hard drives had a - which when removed took all the Macintosh HD items out of the visual. Not sure what a dash - means on that drop down but it worked, thanks!
