Can't save Macintosh HD under Finder location on Mac

Is this a defect of Mac OS Monterey??

I have been away from Mac after Catalina, just got back. And I've noticed one thing that I can't save Macintosh HD under locations in Finder.

This is what I'm doing, I open finder > Go Menu at the Top > Computer, then I drag the Macintosh HD under Finder locations. For the session I'm logged in Macintosh HD stays under locations. When I restart the computer Macintosh HD is gone from Locations. Which is very annoying. I was able to do that on Catalina and the older ones, is this a defect?
