How to share burst mode photo

Hello, I took a burst mode photo with my iPhone and would like to share it.

How does it work?

I airdropped it yesterday to a friend and also sent it to him via iMessage but he did not receive the burst mode photo with 97 micro photos. He only received one picture where he couldn't not 'SELECT' another burst mode taken picture.
