Does Amex warranty cover liquid damage on a MacBook?

My MacBook is under 2 years old and has water damage and I bought with an Amex, would that cover the repair?

Are MacBook Air's covered by warranty with water damage if I have Apple Care? If no, why not? My water bottle leaked a little in my bag with my laptop and it still works but I noticed there are little subtle lines across my screen. Not entirely sure if this is from the water that leaked but if so can Apple repair if I have apple care? If not, why doesn't apple care cover this, especially due to the fact it is one of the most common accidents to occur? (I have a vague memory of someone telling me water damage isn't covered but just want to double check)

I accidentally spilled water on my MacBook Pro M1. Brand new. Anyone have any experience taking their mac pro for repair because of water spill, and how much it cost them to repair? Even if with Applecare +, how much to replace logic board and stuff? I'm afraid it will cost me $1,000 or so just to repair/replace the damaged parts, that's the price of a new macbook, and that's unfortunate...thanks for the reply!

That's a question for American Express and the specific terms of their insurance coverage when an item is bought with one of their cards.

How did the water damage occur? Depending on the circumstances your homeowners insurance might offer some coverage. Also check with them.
