The ONLY way I can find to do this is to individually select the clips in each project, Share to a file & then import the file to the target Project.
As this can only be done one by one, it is VERY laborious.
I'm sure I'm missing something very simple but I've tried Copy & Paste (Copy works but Paste greyed out).
Any other ideas?

Finally found a way:
Go to source project
Select clips
Select File->Show in Finder
Leave Finder window open
Go to destination project
Select files in FInder
Drag and Drop into destination Project

You should be able to Select a clip from a project, Edit/Copy it, and then Edit/Paste it into a new or different project. If this function is not working for you, try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys, and deleting preferences in the box that appears. Sometime that cures glitches.

On my computer the Paste option is not grayed out. Something is not working right with your iMovie app. Try the delete preferences procedure that I described in my earlier post. If that does not work, do a re-download of your iMovie app.
You might also see if you have the paste issue when working with other projects.

You can also do an Edit/Select All, Edit/Copy, of all the media in your project, and then Edit/Paste the media into a new or different project.

I tried that first but, while it is ok to Copy in one Project; when I move to the destination project, the Paste option is greyed out.
