I am now using my third iPhone replaced twice by appke & still microphone problems persists...
Why & when will Apple acknowledge that this is a conception problem & recall all its iphone 8 devices?
We deserve a real service especially when you pay over 1000€ for a phone that does not work as a phobe!
What microphone problem are you referring to? If it is people on the other end of the call who say you are muffled or weak remove the cover that blocks the noise reduction microphone on the back of the phone near the camera, or, if you have a portfolio cover, don't flip it all the way back when on the phone.
Restore your phone as new (not from backup). Don't download apps, just sign in using your Apple ID and Password. If your phone works correctly you'll know it's something in your backup that is causing the issues. There are millions upon millions of iPhone 8 phones in the wild and the vast majority have absolutely no issues whatsoever. To assume because you've had an issue all iPhone8's should be recalled is the same thing as walking into a hospital filled with sick people and coming to the conclusion the world is sick.
Who knows? Better ask Apple. I’m pretty sure that the millions of people having no issues whatsoever with their iPhone 8 are not terribly interested in any recall. What steps have you tried to resolve the problems you‘re having?
Oh nothing to do with the cover! I tried it all nothing works! Microphone cuts during calls, dictaphone fails to register!
Only earphones work and unfortunately i din’t wear my earphones in me all the day ....this is my 3rd phone brand new, i changed my sim card, changed the settings as instructed by Apple etc etc nothing wirked! Help!!!!!
I tried all the settings changed suggested by apple support, nothing worked, i’m desperate cos i have now my 3rd iphone 8!plus & same issues agzin & again!
They adked me install a software to generate a sort of trace fike but they were unable to give an answer after collecting the data (dump)!!!!
Scandalous ! I fon’t care about those facing no isdues, i just want a phone that functions for calls , voice messages etc! What the heck have a phone that fails the phobe functionality !!!!

i did that already; I made evn a new installation as if it's new, the voice quality was a bit better but the microphone blackouts during calls did not get any better, during a phone call it just cuts and people tell me we don't hear you we don't hear you!!!!

The phone works well for all other applications, it fails during calls, videos etc , the voice does not come out, nobody can hear me! when i register a message or a videao there's no voice! during phone calls no voice either , i start talking it functions well in the beginning then suddenly during the phone call they tell me we canot hear you anymore are you still there? So I use my earphone then they can hear me again.
This is really strange because I tried all the suggestions of Apple support and even changed my sim, and got 2 new replacements so now the third new i phone does not function either as a phone !

No my phone does not function during the majority of calls because the voice just disappears and people ask me if I am still there because they cannot hear me anymore. I cannot register voice mails either, they start by being OK then the voice disappears alone! so the messages are truncated!
