Why have all my photos suddenly erased from my iPhone?

My phone turned itself off at full charge and when it turned back on, all of my photos had deleted themselves! My photos had been backed up on iCloud but I can't redownload or access them, how can I get my photos back?

If you have them on iCloud than just turn on iCloud Photo Library in the Photo&Camera settings. When you are connected via wifi it will resync them to your device.
