I have a Yamaha CP300 Keyboard connected to an iMac OS 10.13 via USB. It seems that it is not recognized even though I installed the latest USB driver from Yamaha. MIDI OUT is ON and the keyboard is set to LOCAL OFF. The system does not see it. It does not appear in MIDI Config, Logic Pro X 10.4 or in System Profiler. Any body has a clue?

Have you tried a different USB cable and a different USB port?
It sounds like you have done the appropriate steps otherwise.
High Sierra has some extended security mechanisms when installing 3rd party drivers.
Make sure you have downloaded this driver:

Yes, proper driver has been installed! I am not using a MIDI interface. I want to use the USB connection of the keyboard direct into the computer. As I said earlier, the YAMAHA CP300 does not appear in the MIDI Config App or in System profiler, nor in Logic Pro X.
I would try an SMC reset just to make sure that your USB ports aren't misbehaving:

Do you have another computer you can test your keyboard with?
But did you specifically allow the driver after reboot?
