Help needed please

Where do I stand with my rights when the store breaks my phone when in for a screen replacement?

‘my daughter took her phone in for a screen replacement and when she went to pick it up they had broken it so that it wouldn’t even switch on, they said that they did not have that phone in stock ( iPhone 8 ) so she would have to go to a different store tomorrow to get it .


Should it be replaced with a brand new phone? She got it in January

It sounds as if the store made an error and is doing their best to make it right as quickly as possible. They could probably order a replacement for you but that would take longer. I'm sure you could request they do that if driving to another store is inconvenient.


You would only get a new phone in retail packaging if you had returned the phone within 14 days.


You should take any concerns you have with your service to the manager of the store that made the error.
