ERTYUIO keys stop working

My "E”, "R”, “T”, “Y”, “U”, “I”, & “O” keys on my MacBook stops working. It just randomly works and doesn't work. Right now I am using a keyboard. So with a keyboard plugged in. it works. When not it doesn't work and only works randomly (for a short period of time).

That row of keys may be connected on the membrane for the contact pads under the keys . Its part of the keyboard . A connection line or pin may have a connection problem ( loose connecting pin on the cable or broken link that connects that row of key's signals ) . It may need to have the top plate replaced as a single keyboard membrane replacement is not what a Apple Store repair would do . They typically would replace the top cover with a new keyboard attached . You didn't say what year MacBook it was . If it is from 2015 and up then this would be your answer if older then a simple keyboard replacement . Simple being just that item , a teardown of the entire laptop is required to get to it .
