Keyboards do not work after Monterey 12.3.1 installation

Using MacBook Pro. Monterey 12.3.1

Keyboard stops working after typing about a half dozen characters. I need to click the mouse button to restart and can type another few characters until problem reoccurs.

This happens with both the build in laptop keyboard and my Apple bluetooth keyboard.

It happens in all applications whenever typing to type.

Try the following:

Update macOS.

Try Safe Mode.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac.

If that does not help, then get expert service and support at the Genius Bar.

Click ▶︎ Start a Repair Request.

Reset SMC and NVRAM (if applicable).

Try booting to Safe Mode. That boot up takes minutes and clears caches and other things that may resolve your problem.

Does this prob occur when in Safe Mode?

A lot of times just boot to Safe Mode followed by normal boot resolves problems.

If no problem in Safe Mode but problem returns after a normal boot that mean something is being loaded during a normal boot that is causing the problem.
