So in theory I can use the Apple Watch Series 3 with an iPod since it has iOS 11 or later? or no bec I will need a provider?

Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) requires an iPhone 6 or later with iOS 11 or later. Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) requires an iPhone 5s or later with iOS 11 or later. Apple Watch Series 1 requires an iPhone 5s or later with iOS 11 or later.
Thank you for your response. I was just trying to find some work around of not having and not wanting to get an iPhone. So in reality the Apple Watch is a packaged deal and not compatible with anything but an iPhone. I was hoping I could pare it with another device since I was looking online that to pare the Apple Watch you just need to download an app. Then I thought, whats stopping me from just downloading the app on a non iPhone phone? Compatibility is stopping me. Thanks again. 🙂
