I need to change the gridline colour in my Excel for Mac spreadsheet. I copy/pasted columns from Numbers to Excel for Mac. They were black in Numbers - now the gridline rows are red and the columns are green in Excel for Mac. I've tried highlighting the area and using the Line Color command under Borders - no luck. Any joy?
Well I'll be a monkey's uncle - you got me on the right path! Highlight the area, set All Borders, change color to automatic. That set the lines as borders in black. Then go back, highlight the area again, and set No Borders, which took me to grey gridlines. Thanks a bunch! :-)
are you trying to change the color of the "grid lines" that almost always show on spreadsheets, or the outlines line color SG is showing? they are two totally different things in excel

In your screenshot your gridlines look like they are the normal gray in Excel (for example the columns on the right, e.g. column G, etc.
And you have cells in columns A:G with red and green borders from which you should be able to remove the colors per my screenshot above.
