Extensions won't load in High Sierra 10.13.4

I have spent considerable time trying to find simple answers remedy erratic behaviour of my MacBook Air since loading this update. Either Extensions won't load, or if they load after repeated attempts through Develop button, Safari and Mail lose response to cursor. I don't understand the technical stuff or acronyms on line. Is there a plain English checklist to regain functionality? I've tried reinstalling and reloading 10.13.2 with no luck.

thanks

MacBook Air, iOS 11.1

Used Easy Find and was able to find and eliminate a number of galileod and fitbit files, some password protected, so the computer is running better and no unexpected new loss of function as previously (so far).

I'm still unable to use extensions, however, and think this simply must be an issue with 10.13.4. I'll hope for an update from Apple on that one, as only one of my mail accounts in mail will connect and I find ads too distracting without ad block extension. I can access Duckduck go from website icon on desktop even if not default in Safari.

If you do come upon a fix to enable extensions, let me know, otherwise I'll check search support from time to time.

thanks

I don't understand this or the risks, haven't tested it over time, and wouldn't therefore recommend, however for now eliminating keychain (and starting anew) has stopped Develop from blocking extensions and allowed restoration of wifi/mail accounts. This was, of course in addition to the other ideas so I don't want to rule out post hoc ergo propter hoc explanations.

thanks for all the help

If under the Develop menu, Disable Extensions is checked, the only fix I have seen posted is a reinstall. Try disabling the DuckDuck go extension to see if the Adblock will load.

For Mail, try deleting the non-working accounts and add them back.
