Safari will not open after update
Ok, here's the problem. I have a 15 inch Macbook Pro (late 2008) which, as I understand is no longer supported for an update to High Sierra. A few days ago my Macbook upgraded Safari (I guess to work better with Sierra) and now it will not open. I have gone on line and tried all the solutions offered like deleting various cookies, plists, etc. The problem is none of of the files listed exist in my preferences, library, or anywhere else. Anyone have any suggestions before I use time machine and go back in time to before the install? Is Apple really not going to support older macbooks? Mine works as well as it did when I first bought it (with new RAM and better memory). Thanks
MacBook Pro, 10.11.6 El Capitan
