AppleTv not showing full screen through safari

I cannot access full screen streaming a movie through appletv

To bring a web video to full screen, use the expand-to-full-screen symbol in the control bar of the video, often the most-right one. It is up to the web service, if they will allow that. But don’t use the AirPlay screen mirroring feature in the menu bar, unless you have no better option.


Instead, use the AirPlay symbol in the control bar of the video itself. Note that not all web video services support this, but YouTube, Vimeo and many others do. I think key is that the web video itself has Apple TV compatible stream options, e.g. mp4.
