iPhone not making charging sound

I have this issue too. It was happening with my iPhone X, then when I switched to my 8 Plus and I have the same issue.

Do we have an assurance that it is an software issue and not a problem on the hardware part of an iphone?

Can you re-install the app afterwards or does it need to remain permanently deleted?

No you need to delete it permanently. Maybe in future updates on ios will fix the issue.

You are a hero indeed! How did you know about it? I havent had a single encounter on the said problem anymore. Its been 5 days already! I usually encounter it within the day of my reset.

I’m still having issues with my iPhone X the charging sound doesn’t work. I went to apple the repaired the vibration and speaker and days later back to not making a sound when charging

This worked on iPhone 7

I just had the same issue with my iPhone X and solved it.

Press and hold the two volume up and volume down buttons on the left side of the phone simultaneously.

The phone will resume the ding tone upon charging.

Do it again and it will resume to silent.

First things first, your ringer is on (and not all the way down) right?
