Can't hear or feel my fan.

I've had my MacBook Pro 2017 13" for 4 days. Earlier today I tried playing Postal 2 on steam, usually I hear the fan but later I can't. Even scrolling through the desktop or surfing the net I can't hear or feel my fans. Is this supposed to be normal or am I overly concerned about my MacBook. I've tried a software to monitor my fan speed and when my computer is doing surfing the web, it says 0000 rpm. I don't know wether the MacBook Pro 2017 has the fan on all the time or not.

Any help on anything

the fan may be needed for CPU and intergraded graphics intensive applications and not for other things. The mac likes to work as quietly as it can so not hearing or feeling a fan may be normal.

if in doubt reset your SMC. This will reset the fan operations.

Lanny, Did you mean this to go in another forum. OP says he has a Macbook Pro 13, not a Macbook 12.

Macs do that. The fan doesn’t run all the time. If you’re using an application that uses a lot of RAM or CPU (e.g. Blender) It will start running the fan. Sometimes I’m even surprised when I’m running something that normally runs the fan but then doesn’.
