How to I completely uninstall MacKeeper?

I believe I may have introduced some malware or adware on my iMac OS 10.12.6. The offending software may be MacKeeper.....I have dragged the Mackeeper ikon to the trash and deleted it, but I do believe there are still some of the software left on the computer. How do I uninstall all the MacKeeper software. I have had unwanted changes of webpages that mention MacKeeper. I may be able to rid myself of the malware by thoroughly deleting all of the software. MacKeeper.com has sent me a file to remove all the software, but I don't trust it...........

Do you have any advice about removing all of MacKeeper from my iMac?
