Hi. Please excuse a good deal of niavety I have on the Video Cards subject.. I had the same question (but for Geforce 7900 GT). I have major hope for Apple to be able to do this!! One thing I read from the Nvidia.. does seem to refer to it as a PC card: Designed for extreme HD gaming, the NVIDIA® SLI™-Ready GeForce® 7900 graphics processing units (GPUs) deliver the most graphics performance bang for your buck, including ultra-realistic gaming experiences and resolutions up to 2560x1600. A 256-bit memory interface and fast GDDR3 memory enable blazing graphics performance with maximum quality so you don’t have to choose between frame rates and image quality.

Need a break from gaming? The GeForce 7900 GPU also delivers smooth, high-definition video playback and crisp picture quality thanks to its advanced NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology.

If you are searching for an extreme HD gaming and video experience on the PC, look no further than a GeForce 7900 GPU.

Available Models: GeForce 7900 GTX, GeForce 7900 GT, and 7900 GS

but 3 pieces of information say that it can be used on Mac OS X.. I don't know you seemed to have said it is like a third-party something but the Mac Pro I am looking at is at ?Geforce 7300... so I would find it hard to see why this wouldn't be an Apple card, a PC one instead. This is REALLY important to me! here's one link fron the major NVidia site: http://www.nvidia.com/object/7seriestechspecs.html
