HomePod frozen with volume lights blinking. Tried everything.

Are you sure that you're following these steps closely?

1. Unplug HomePod, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in.
2. Wait 5 seconds, then touch your finger to the top of HomePod and hold it there.
3. The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
4. Siri will say that your HomePod is about to reset. When you hear three beeps, you can lift your finger.

You could usefully wait 10 or 15 seconds in step 1. In step 2, 5 seconds should coincide with the top of the HomePod getting a white glow. Steps 3 & 4 can take about 15 seconds to complete.

Same issue. Went through online steps. Red spinning circle just kept going eventually turned back into white blinking volume lights. Called apple support. After extensive troubleshooting (mostly rebooting every device in the house) was advised to take it to an authorized repair shop for warranty exchange.

Reach out to Apple Support, or take it back to the store for a warranty exchange.
