how to manage music in Mac OS

Hi, everybody, I want to know how to manage my music library on my MacBook Pro,

the thing is I had windows background and I use to store my 40gb+ of music on the computer HDD from which I used to copy selected tracks to my iPhone, but in mac the storage is less and I don't want to fill this SSD with usual media files, I do have an external hard drive of 4tb in which the library is currently stored.

Currently, my whole music from iPhone has wiped out of my phone but thanks to cloud music library their cloud version is still their coz of apple music, So my concerns are :

1) Store my music in an organized way

2) Not to use SSD storage

3)To have the actual version of my songs on my phone, not the cloud one

Plz help me out

store your own music where you want. point iTunes "add to library" to that music. Once 'loaded' into iTunes then set up your 'fields' , use option key there then to finish create your playlist and add those to your iPad or iPhone.
